New ‘Star Wars’ leak may reveal Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader

New “Star Wars” concept art for the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series has leaked online, and it shows a terrifying image of Darth Vader.

The leak — which comes from the Twitter account Star Wars Stuff — shows concept art for what Hayden Christensen’s Darth Vader will look like in the forthcoming Disney+ show, per The Direct.

  • “An extremely large bacta tank and a breathing apparatus that Vader will likely use while he is in the tank were also included in separate images, leading to the belief that there will be a scene or scenes of a scarred Hayden Christensen outside the Darth Vader suit,” according to The Direct.

It’s unclear if these photos are directly from the set or not. Concept art is usually the first or second draft of an idea for a film or TV show before the final product is created. If these are real, expect them to change in the future.

In April, digital concept art designer Barrett Digital shared some concept art ideas for what Christensen will look like as Darth Vader in the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series.

  • The photo shows a version of Vader similar to Sebastian Shaw, who appeared as Vader without his helmet in “Return of the Jedi.”

The new series will explore what happens to Kenobi as he reflects on “his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader,” according to Disney.

Previous concept art for Darth Vader — which came from Lucasfilm concept artist Christian Alzmann — showed Darth Vader in a Bacta tank, a machine in which Vader recovers from the injuries he suffered during his lightsaber battle in “Revenge of the Sith.” That concept art was for “Rogue One” but the scene never appeared in the movie.
