Sword Art Online Progressive Wins Anime Movie of the Year At 9th Anime Trending Awards

Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night has won Anime Movie of the Year in the 9th Anime Trending Awards.

The movie is an adaptation of Reki Kawahara’s spin-off light novel series Sword Art Online Progressive. The movie was directed by Ayako Kouno with Kento Toya as character designer and chief animation director, Yukito Kizawa as scriptwriter, Yuki Kajiura as music composer, and A-1 Pictures as the animation production company. Haruka Tomatsu and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka voiced lead characters Kirito and Asuna, respectively.

The Sword Art Online series has had many placements in the Anime Trending Awards over the years, including Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld placing third for Anime of the Year in the 6th Anime Trending Awards (2019).
